Dearest Mom

I miss you so much. The world just doesn't feel as friendly since you've been gone.
I always knew there was someone that was saying a little prayer for me and my family.
You were a wise mother to me, a great mother-in-law to Jim and a great grandmother to Ed.
If you were there I was comfortable and you knew how to bring that comfort to my
relatives and friends. I have pictures of just about everyone I know and knew at your
home where we are all smiling.
The Bible teaches us that Jesus went about doing good and that is what you did and I
know that He is enjoying your company and you are enjoying His.

I love you, always,

Gloria

My Dear Aunt Rita

I would like to say that my Aunt Rita was not just my aunt but she was like a mother to me as well as a friend. She will be missed dearly. I don't think I have ever met such a giving human being than Aunt Rita as she raised her three wonderful children on her own back when "single mothers" were virtually unheard of.
I have fond memories of sitting in her kitchen in Van Nuys having a beer with her and talking up a storm (we all know what a gift of gab she had)!! I think that was the hardest part of her last months because she was unable to communicate, well I know she's catching up with that "gift of gab" up in heaven with all her family members who have passed as well as her countless friends!
She also was like a grandmother to my children always sending them birthday cards, Easter cards, Christmas cards always with a little money in them that my kids always looked forward to! Whenever you would leave her home she would insist on sending you off with goodies be it bubble gum for the kids, candy, nuts, lemons from her tree or what have you, that's how generous and giving she was!
Rita, I loved you like a Mom and will miss you!!

Your Niece,
Mary

Please Join Us in Remembering & Celebrating Rita Pound

Sadly, Rita Pound passed away near midnight on Thursday, February 17, 2011.  We all miss her deeply and mourn her loss.  We created this site to share our memories of this special human being.  Rita Pound was a hard-working Mother, caring Aunt and fun Friend to many, and in creating this site we also wished to give everyone an opportunity to express their experiences that they shared with Rita. Thank you in advance for the memories you share here, and please know how happy we are to hear from you!
